Dave McDilda - Owner

David was born in Long Island New York and came from a construction family. He is a third generation general contractor first starting in the trade in his early teens, and has now been in the trade for over 20 years.

David’s background was originally in fire and water damage mitigation and repair. In 1995, he decided to enlisted and joined the Marine Corps as a Logistics and Embarkation Specialist. After being honorably discharged in 1999, he worked for a restoration company as a Project Manager. He then moved to a home improvement company in 2002 and was the top producing Sales Manager. In 2004, the company was sold and he then went out on his own.

In 2004, Semper Fi Services was started as handyman service company with one man and a truck, and has grown into an licensed contracting company of 11 employees, 10 vehicles, representing the greatest home improvement company in Northern California.

David lives in Redding with his wife and two children.

Linda Messmer - Office Manager

Linda was born in Florida and moved to California when she was 8. She came to Redding when her husband’s job relocated him. Linda was hired by Semper Fi Services as the Office Manager in 2008. She lives in Redding with her husband. She has two grown children and she and her husband have 16 grand children between them.

Jeromy Shull - Crew Leader

Jeromy was born in Willits, CA and moved to Redding 10 years ago. He has been in the construction field for 20 years and joined Semper fi Services in 2008. He is lives in Redding with his wife and daughter.

Paul Guerrero - Crew Leader in Training

Paul was born in Bakersfield and moved to Redding in 2009 for more opportunities. He started working for Semper Fi Services in 2009 after a chance meeting with a member of our crew. He lives in Redding with his wife and 2 kids.

Jon Horst Jr - Senior Project Manager

Jon was born in Montana and moved here to Redding in 2001. He was hired by Semper Fi Services as a Project Manager. He lives in Redding with his wife and 2 children.

Jon was hired as a tradesman and was promoted to project manager in 2008.

Ricky Peters - Tradesman/Technician

Ricky was hired in 2010 at Semper Fi Services and has known the owner for some time. He was born in Sacramento and moved to the Redding area in 1994. He lives in Redding with his 3 children.

After 1994, Ricky has trade experience with a background in water and fire damage mitigation.

Jim Harnois - General Manager

Jim was born here in Redding but left to live in the Bay Area in 1998. He spent the next 2 years traveling back and forth from Redding to the Bay Area and decided to permanently come back in 2000. He spent 10 years in the Service Industry and 5 years in the Restoration/Contractor field. Jimmy was hired in 2009 by David as General Manager. He lives in Cottonwood with his wife and 4 children.

Rick Eye - Superintendent

Rick was born in Virginia into a construction family and is a 5th generation carpenter. He was always told by his father, that he has been doing construction since the day he was born. While he lived in New York , he had the opportunity to work under several master craftsmen, where he gained his extensive training in many disciplines. He moved to Redding in 1994 and is one of Semper Fi’s most experienced team members. He lives in Redding with his wife and has 2 grown children.
